August 1-7 Hansen Bear Lake Trip

HANSEN BEAR LAKE TRIP

For our Hansen get together this year we rented a house at Bear Lake in Garden City on the Utah side. It was really nice because each family had their own room which is great when you have kids!

It had 5 bedrooms upstairs, 3 bathrooms and a laundry room. Downstairs it had a large family room, dining room, kitchen and a 3 car garage. Outside it had a hot tub and a patio area with a grill. There was a large grassy area on the side of the house that we played spike ball and home run derby in.

MONDAY

TUESDAY

Tuesday we went to the beach. It was extremely windy and a little chilly. All our stuff was blowing everywhere but we still had fun. The girls played in the sand, we flew a kite that Jake and Kory brought, the boys played frisbee and volleyball. We bought a little inflatable raft that we took out on the water. Hannah and Mike built a sand car that you could climb into and take pictures.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday we were supposed to get a boat and jet skis for a few hours but when we all got in the boat and got towed out the engine was making a really bad sound. We got towed back in and they said we would have to come back the next day. They did let us paddle board for free though, that was fun.

We spent a lot of time in the hot tub! I couldn't get in since I'm pregnant but I did put my feet in! Even Ruby and Addalyn loved it.

Hanging out in Uncle Zac's room.

Wednesday we went to the play Hairspray at the Pickleville Playhouse.

THURSDAY

Thursday we rented a boat and two jet ski's. We did some tubing and swimming. The water was a little cold but it was still so fun! It was crystal clear and the prettiest blue color. We saw some huge fish right at the surface, I'm not sure what type of fish they were but they were big and there were hundreds of them!

We took Ruby tubing for the first time. We went really slow, she was a little unsure about it. I didn't love it either since I was bouncing around on my belly, probably not the best activity for a pregnant lady. We did however love jet skiing!

Jake, Kory and Addalyn went tubing also.

Peggy bought little gifts to give the girls each day we were there. One of the gifts was spill-proof bubbles. They were so cute and tiny. They had the smallest little wands and both girls loved them and took them with them every where!

FRIDAY

Hannah and Mike had to leave a little earlier than the rest of us. Two of Hannah's best friends, Kassidy Peterson and Shaneka Bono, were getting married a day apart from each other! One in Salt Lake and the other in Idaho!

We went to the beach that night, made some sand castles and floated around in our blow up boat. The sunset was beautiful!

After the beach we went to Jake's Place for dinner.

SUNDAY

Sunday was Nate and I's 6th year Anniversary! We planned on going out that week and having Tina watch Ruby but I got sick and didn't feel up to it. We just had a relaxing day at Tina's.

Nate gave me this card...;) He's so sweet.

Ruby made cookies with Tina and Hannah. She was thrilled!

Working off those cookies.
