GARDNER VILLAGE PETTING ZOO
For a family activity, Nate and I took Ruby to the little petting zoo they have at Gardner Village next to our house. It's a nonprofit organization that runs it. They provide shelter and care to animals that have been abused or neglected. We didn't know this when we went and there was one poor lamb that was coughing up a lung, then we looked in one of the shelters on the side that the animals can go in to get out of the heat, and there was a dead lamb just laying there. It was really sad. It must have just happened because we told the lady running it that it was there and she didn't know. She said it was probably the one that had leukemia.
Ruby loved it! She kept telling the one that was coughing, "you ok?". It even tried to eat her hat. She is such a sweet, caring girl.
They had all kinds of animals there including: ponies, horses, cows, pigs, alpacas, sheep, and chickens.
TOP GOLF
We went to Top Golf as a family. They have these tiny golf clubs that kids can use. Nathan tried showing her how to use them but she mostly loved just throwing the balls into the grass and skipping the clubs all together.
We got ice cream at arctic circle. They have cute courtesy cones for kids. It was just her size.
Later we went to the playground and instead of playing in it, Nathan chased Ruby up and down the hill next to it.
SUNDAY DINNER AT TINA'S
At our Sunday dinner at Tina's, Ruby got into her cute swimming pool for a bit while everyone else played some Spikeball.
Our Hansen Sunday photo #36.
MORE PHOTOS FROM THIS WEEK...
A light up "lips" Ruby stole from Aunt Tina's house.
My Mom sent me some photos from when they had a combined birthday party for everyone's birthdays in June at my Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's house.
Cute Emi!
Reverting back to binky days.
Watching our sweet girl read books from the comfort of our bed. Nate, don't even try to hide those raptor toes!
Ruby loves to type on my computer any chance she gets. Looking so professional here.
These pictures have a funny story behind them. Nathan and his siblings came over for dinner one night and we ended up having a Sonic The Hedgehog gaming session. After that day I got way into it and wanted to beat the game. It became my mission. I found out a way to rack up a bunch of lives in one of the beginning levels which would help me get really far. Nate thought it was hilarious that I was so obsessed, he would take a picture of me whenever he caught me playing and send it to all his siblings. I told him to stop sending them because it was embarrassing that I was spending so much time on it, but he didn't listen!
Here's the pictures he took...
